Smyrna/Clayton July 4th Association's Annual July 4th Celebration
A community event normally celebrated right on July 4th, we are the longest running 4th of July celebration in the state of Delaware!
We had a fantastic 4th of July celebration in 2012! Hope 2013 is even better! The day's celebration starts with a Parade, our 4th of July Carnival, Baby Contest, Patriotic Dog Contest, Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Mid-Atlantic Cherokee show, and much more! The day concludes with a fantastic fireworks display!
We will be posting selected photos of our 2013 4th of July celebration soon!
2014 Events Include:
Parade, Festivities at Municipal Park, Dog Contest, Dunking Booth, many food and artisan vendors. Carnival. Fireworks display at dusk.
Our fireworks extravaganza starts at dusk and we feel it is the biggest and best in the state of Delaware!! The display is located at the Little League fields which are on Duck Creek Parkway in Smyrna opposite the Smyrna High School and Smyrna Middle School. It is requested that a donation be given to help defray the cost of the fireworks which is estimated to be approx. $16,000.00 for 2014.
